#WIX WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

BACKGROUND

Ben Fearnside is a local artist and furniture designer. He came to us as he had an old website which combined both his artwork and furniture design and he wanted to concentrate on his artwork, working with acrylics and metals on canvas. He was holding an exhibition as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival 2017 and wanted the new website to promote this and his work beyond the festival.

It was a tight deadline, he needed to submit his details to Brighton Fringe Festival within the week to be included in the festival magazine.

PROCESS

The initial meeting we got to understand his inspiration and developed the brief that he had given us. We created a holding page for his website, promoting his participation within the festival, published it with the new URL before the deadline. In the background we collaboratively designed his new website, involving him every step of the way.

With our extensive knowledge in marketing we knew we only had 3 weeks to deliver the final project. Through open lines of communication we discovered the article that inspired him and the project. This changed the direction that we took in the design and development of the website.

RESULT

He was amazed with the new website that we presented to him. He didn’t realise the one comment he made had that much impact on the direction of the project. For us it highlighted the reason why we like to work with open lines of communication every step of the way.

‚Äč

His participation in Brighton Fringe Festival was successful selling seven pieces (two internationally), two commissions and he raised £735 for The Sussex Beacon.
