This posed new challenges as we had to coordinate the staging, marketing and logistics for these three very different venues. Plunging in to a new theatre group required rapid integration and the building of good relationships all involved. With two runs in open air theatres, we had to be ready for all kinds of weather and subsequent technical challenges that may arise.
Ben Fearnside is a local artist and furniture designer. He came to us as he had an old website which combined both his artwork and furniture design and he wanted to concentrate on his artwork, working with acrylics and metals on canvas. He was holding an exhibition as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival 2017 and wanted the new website to promote this and his work beyond the festival.
Produced by Brighton Little Theatre, this Shakespeare classic was staged at Brighton Little Theatre, Lewes Castle and Brighton Open Air Theatre. We were approached by the director, who we had worked for on a previous production. She wanted hands on assistance with production management and the logistics needed between the 3 sites.
Ultimately the night was a sell out success at all the venues and we were afforded fine weather and night after night of delighted audiences.
